Sun Pharma to buy Ranbaxy for $4.2Billion. This merger will make the combo largest manufacturer in India and 5th largest generic manufacturer in the world.

Merger looks like a boon to the dying reputation of Ranbaxy as it give a new opportunity to grow in around 65countries.

Personally,  I feel sorry for the company which was my dream brand at one stage of my life! But the mistakes company has made over the years could not be ignored.

I hope after this merger Indian generic markets gets a second chance to revive its damaged image!
