Tu mat dar, Tu chal pad!

(Hindi poem in English text)

Tu mat dar,

Tu chal pad,

Ab na soch tu, bas lad pad,

ayega jo samne wo ruk jayega!

takrayega to, tut jayega !

Bas tera hosla, tu dat rakh,

tu kar pad,

tu bad pad,

Har roda to Khud tal jayega.

Tu hai akhilesh,

tu ananya,

tu hi Sab,

tu hi samast,

tu prarambh, anth tu,

harmushkil tu hal kar jayega.

Naa ruk tu,

Naa jhuk tu,

Tu hai to sab hai,

Tu hi to sab hai,

Jo Tu chahe wo tu kar jayega.

Tu than le to,

Tu man le to,

Khuda bhi ek bar namjayega.

Tu kum ha Nahi,

kuch galat ha Nahi,

Ye zamana jald samjjayega.

Koi roke tujhe to,

use hakal de tu,

Koi toke tujhe to,

Uuse dutkar de tu

Tera karm ko bna tera jawab,

mehnt ko apna jasbabna.

Khud pe rakh bharosa,

Apni soch buland rakh,

zamana to Khud jhuk jayega.

Ab mat dar,

ab chal pad,

Bas lad pad,

Jo sochega anjam wahi ho jayega.

Pursue your passion!

“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

I feel so good after writing this poem. I can feel the boost of motivated blood running in my veins in full throttle. I am not self-praising my work (I am a bit), but the thought of people reading it and getting pumped to go ahead and pursue their passion is making me excited. If even one person (other than me) reads this poem and gets motivated I will feel accomplished.

Today, we live in a world where we always think about our image in the society. We think and care so much about the surroundings, that we are willing to compromise on giving up our own will to do something that we really want. Just because we keep wondering what will people think about our so-called image, we end up not doing the things that will make us feel happy.

Well, the argument and discussion can go in various directions, but the point my poem picks up is, do not worry about your image in the society, do not be afraid of the world, do not stop yourself from doing something you really want to do. Just go for it, just do it.

There will be critics. If you decide to do something untraditional, there will be eyes looking at you constantly. People may laugh at your ambition; they may laugh at your attempts to reach your goals, your failure, and your courage. But do you really think that the opinion of a bunch of people, people who are of no value to you, should affect you so as to not pursue your dreams? NO!

I always wondered what people would think if I wrote articles and poems and posted it online, would it be accepted? Would they compare my work with others? Would they judge me based on what I write? What would they think if I write too much in Hindi? What would they think if I write on my feelings? What would they think if write motivational articles? — It never ends and it would have never ended if I had actually not posted my first blog, my second blog, my poems, and my work blogs. An inspiring angle told me, who cares what people think, you write for your happiness, for yourself, so post what you feel you want to post, good – bad does not matter. People who care will criticize and help you advance, others – it really should not matter. So I did, and I feel so happy each time I spend Saturday night writing a blog/ poem. For those of you who don’t know me well, I do not miss any opportunities to party, and Saturday nights in Boston, when my phone inbox is full of plans, I now decide to write; it makes me feel good and relaxed. I feel a sense of satisfaction!

So this is what I want to express through my poem – Each one of us, we are the master/almighty of our own universe and that is the truth. We all are unique in our own way and that is what makes each one of us differently awesome. We have the strength to achieve every goal we think of, there is no stopping, no looking back! The only and the most important thing is to take the first step towards achieving it.

The first step to prove the world that you are right in your own way to do what you really think you should be doing. It can be anything, passion for becoming a chef or a writer or a house maker or a barber, a cop, a scientist, anything! Initially, there will be criticism, but you need to be fearless of those negative energies around you. You need to make hard work your passion and then your results, your achievements, and your success will speak for itself. Your passion will generate the best quality outcome, let that be the answer to the critics. Once you achieve what you want to, the world will bow down in front of you, with nothing but praises.

The most beautiful and my favorite line from the poem describes, everything around you is because of you, in reality you constitute everything! You are the beginning and the end of your life and whatever you decide to do with it, it will happen. Just don’t think that you are less capable, don’t give up, don’t stop, just keep moving, just keep fighting for it, just keep doing what you need to do and you will do wonders. You will be unstoppable, you will be invincible, you will be supreme! People against you will no longer be against you, people who were thinking you were wrong will soon understand you are right. Just keep your intention strong and even god won’t be able to conspire against you!

So please just be your awesome wonderful self and listen to your heart, go for it, there is no stopping after the beginning. A bright, happy and satisfactory future is waiting for you and we (the world) are waiting to see the best expression of you!

Please express what you want to be? What drives you? What is that one thing you always wanted to do but the world around stopped you? Write to me and hopefully we will help each other become better as we grow further!
