Marketing Internship at Iroko Pharmaceuticals
This summer I got an opportunity to be part of one of the upcoming Pharmaceutical Companies’ and follow my dream to apply my Marketing based knowledge. At Iroko I learned some amazing concepts and practical options of pharmaceutical marketing and I also learned about various important instruments like team building, team dynamics and work ethics. My supervisor Daniel Kelsey, Executive Director (ED) of Zorvolex, was a great mentor who enhanced my marketing strategy development skills. I also had the chance to work with Ms. Gail, ED of Market research and Mr. Ed, ED of Pricing. I gained practical experience in developing and analyzing Market Research. Using various tools and databases, I analyzed data periodically to evaluate sales and pricing impacts; I contributed with graphical representation of such data in various weekly and monthly team meetings.
My internship also helped me enhance my skills on communications, leadership and team management. Mr. Krishnaraj, Vice President (VP) of Marketing, assigned the interns with projects whose results would be beneficial and possibly influential in the company’s future. Furthermore, I analyzed the impact of Opiod Laws in each states and its effect on NSAID market and future and practical use of Social media marketing and traditional marketing (specifically the impact of sunshine act).
My professional experience grew after I had the opportunity to interact with Directors of different departments like Sales, Manufacturing, Clinical, Supply Chain and Regulatory.
